List of association directors
The list of directors records the persons in charge of the administration of the association: most often the president, the secretary and the treasurer. For each of them it states the name, profession, home address and nationality. This document accompanies the declaration of creation to the prefecture and must be updated at each change of director, within three months. A clear and accurate list makes it easier to open the association's bank account and to deal with public authorities and funding bodies. This form is in English, but the document is generated in French, ready to sign and use in France.
Note: the questionnaire is in English; the generated document is in French.

Frequently asked questions
What information must the list of directors contain?
For each person in charge of the administration, the list states the name, profession, home address and nationality, as well as the role held (president, secretary, treasurer). This information is used when declaring the association to the prefecture.
Must the list be re-declared if the board changes?
Yes. Any change in the composition of the board or of the administrative council must be declared to the prefecture within three months, in accordance with the decree of 16 August 1901. An updated list of directors is then submitted.
How many directors must be appointed?
The loi 1901 does not impose a minimum number of directors, but in practice a declared association has at least a president, a secretary and a treasurer. The same person cannot hold all the roles.
